Yoga Summer Camp @ La Mesa Community Center
Yoga Rascals' La Mesa camp for children ages 5 - 10 is held in and around Nan Couts Cottage at La Mesa Community Center. Campers practice yoga on the lawn under mature trees, work on their arts and crafts projects in the air-conditioned cottage and enjoy nature walks and games on the rolling hills of MacArthur Park. Bunnies are frequent visitors and the songs of the many birds living here create the perfect score for peaceful summer days.
Camps will follow all county, state, and CDC guidelines for operating camps. All instructors are fully vaccinated & boosted.

Join us for summer camp, where we embark on a different yoga adventure every day! While our imagination transports us to exciting new places around the world, we practice numerous yoga poses by stretching like cats, jumping like frogs, and running like dogs— to name only a few of our favorite animal poses. We learn how to balance in tree pose, greet the sun on mountaintops, and let our breath teach us how to relax, feel calm, and peaceful.
Campers also play fun yoga games, and enjoy imaginative yoga stories while resting during “Yoga Nap.” Additional activities include: arts & crafts, exploring our five senses, creating a journal, games, and more! This year’s summer camp will be lead, as always, by Yoga Rascals’ founder Sünje O’Clancy, whose stated goal is to “create an atmosphere of kindness, inclusion, and mutual respect where everyone feels appreciated.” This helps everybody to have fun, and encourages campers to become yoga friends. Watch videos of previous summer camps below to see how much fun we have! Please note that this videos were created pre-pandemic. . Camp Description |
